Playing catch up

Catching up on the photo a day

My poppy ‘fix it’ made this for me when I was a kid. I’ve still got it and I keep all my jewellery in it.

Everytime I use it I think of him.

I’ve spent a lot of time in here recently in the worst endo pain of my life (what am I saying, it’s always the worst pain of my life because it’s pretty much constant)

I don’t remember what it’s like to be pain free.

It makes me into a cross snappy snarly cranky pants and I don’t like the person I am.

I do however love my bed.

Husband won husband of the year 2011 for buying this for my birthday.

It’s amazing and i’m in love.

(1) That man is talented.

(2) I’m amazed by how decorated your room is when you moved so recently.

(3) I’m so, so sorry you’re in pain. Constant endo pain is the WORST – I’ve only been moving toward “constant” in the last year or so, but at least the worst of the pain is NOT constant and responds to Aleve. I assume you’ve tried naproxen sodium? And a hot water bottle? I know I’m talking to a pro and advice is stupid, I just wish I could think of something that would help you not be in pain :(.

(4) Possible food for thought – if my latest round of drugs doesn’t work (just two more months, I think), I’m talking to my doctor about going on depo/high-dose progesterone shots – it shuts down your cycle for several months at a time (then you take another shot), so it should stop the endo pain, and prevent the endo from spreading temporarily, and maybe even give it a chance to start healing (maybe). I figure I need to see how I respond to medicine before having ANOTHER surgery – at our ages, we need a decade-plus-long plan to take us to menopause. SIGH. Anyway, I know you have doctors and you know what you need to do; I’m just offering it as a thought in case you haven’t considered it yet. (Also also, depo is marketed as a contraceptive, and I am certainly not a contraceptive fan, but there’s no such thing as a contraceptive for a girl who’s barren as a brick, so I think that issue is just moot. It would be like wearing a condom on your nose.)

I love your point 4 and it seems, so does my doctor!
I have a scan this week and we will discuss further. I’m so over it all…the pain physically and the pain of going over my fertility again and again in my mind. That “One more try” is haunting me…

I want to know when I’m going to wake up and i’ll be okay with not having my own children.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could have a crystal ball or a message or SOMETHING to tell us ANYTHING?

love love
